Right now i am playing the same 'Allo 'Allo episodes in the Badhuistheater in Amsterdam as Hans Geering.
Also i played a part as facist shock blogger Donny Gove in A 2016 Love Story. An original farce, by playwright Denis Burke, A 2016 Love Story plunges us straight back into that tumultuous year. Embroiled in a madcap world of fake news, celebrity deaths and political mayhem, a chance meeting between implacable enemies hints that all is not lost and that, perhaps, love really does conquer all..

The last few months some asignments i did were as Toffe Piet in Sinterklaas & the golden compass.. As Sailor in the new Little Crumb movie and as Construction worker in a new commercial. As always i love what i do and can't wait to take on more stuff.
This month i had the pleasure of playing a father in one short movie called Instaddicted and a Teacher in a short called Never Alone.
Instaddicted tells te story of a daughter who is addicted to Instagram. Her grades are beginning to drop at school and she is failing exams. Dad (my character) is worried about this situation. Never Alone tells the story of a girl who is failing at school and struggles to find friends. Her schoolwork is behind and her grades are lowering. My character (Teacher) is very worried about this and tries to be a mentor and a friend about this. Great projects to work on. Excited for more. January and Feburary 2019 i have been playing in ‘Love in Pieces’ again. The One Act evening about Love from our theatergroup Downstage Left. I learned a great deal during this production. And in Febuary i played Hans Geering in ALLO ALLO. I played in Allo Allo before but that was the theaterplay version of the show and what we are doing now are the episodes from TV. Very fun to do. One act called PWND by K.Lavoie. Captain Hans Geering - 'Allo 'Allo!
The last few months i’ve been rehearsing the following theater plays. I play Captain Darling in Blackadder goes forth in the shows October and November. I play Gabe Porlin in the shows of PWND written by K.Lavoie and i play the Waiter in the play Wanda’s Visit written by C.Durang. The last two we play in November 2018 and January 2019. Good Times.
The last few months i’ve been working on my new movie Saint Nicholas & The Piet Duo & The Stolen Toys (Sinterklaas en het Pieten Duo – Het Gestolen speelgoed).
I have a great passion for this Dutch tradition and i love making these films. It has been a good process. And i learned a lot. Loads of fun to make this movie. It will premiere in October and available on DVD after that. Gister stond ik als Piet op de set van De Club van Sinterklaas. Hun 7e bioscoopfilm die 17 oktober uitkomt. Zoals altijd weer erg veel geleerd. Super leuke groep mensen om mee te werken. Zie de film in de bios!
Last weekend i played a character called Menno in the Aftermovie for the ‘Secret Love’ Geheime Liefde Festival. Menno is a guy everyone can relate and hang out with. Just loves life and people. Really hot recording day but a lot of fun. Even got on stage to make a crowd go insane together with the DJ!
In April I played a part in a theaterplay called Introducing Tamara.
About the play Tamara is a brand new play by Irish playwright Denis Burke, and explores what might happen if we were faced with the presence of human-like robots in our daily lives. Rather than a story about technology itself, this play is about relationships and ethics that arise from interactions with robots. The story takes place in a flat in contemporary London where circumstances throw a young female student into a bonding experience with her male housemate and his robot, Tamara. As they grow to know each other, questions arise as to whether robots have feelings and if so, to what extent. The dilemma of whether to treat a robot like a human poses a moral struggle. This racy new play invites us to reflect on issues of humanity and how we treat other beings. |
